Patricia de Montfort (University of Glasgow)

Patricia de Montfort is

Lecturer in History of Art/Academic Curator (The Hunterian) at the

University of Glasgow. Her research interests focus on 19th century female artists, the work of James McNeill Whistler and the London art market. Current projects centre on the painter, teacher and author, Louise Jopling (1843-1933). Her book, Louise Jopling: A Biographical and Cultural Study of the Modern Woman Artist in Victorian Britain  is published by Ashgate-Routledge.
