Pauline Rose (The Arts University Bournemouth)

Pauline Rose is Professor of Art History at the Arts University Bournemouth. Her current focus is on British women sculptors and preparing a book provisionally titled 'Working Against the Grain: British Women Sculptors c.1890-1945'. Her general research interest is in British art, with a particular emphasis on sculpture. She has published a single-author book on Henry Moore's career in the United States (I. B. Tauris, 2013), supported by an author's grant from the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, and contributed essays to publications with the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts, The Getty Research institue, the Sculpture Journal and Tate Britain. She has given many conference papers in the UK as well as in Europe, India, Russia and the U.S. She is employed on a research-only contract at The Arts University Bournemouth.
